If you’ve never been to the Bird Haven Greenhouse in Joliet, IL … GO! It’s so cute. Nothing big and crazy but it’s such a cute little spot to visit and one of my new favorites to take photos at.
If you’re not familiar with these faces yet, they come to see me yearly and multiple times this year. So I love that they are open to switching up locations and doing different things each time. They’re working on some pretty good variety of locations with me and I can’t wait to add more later this year!
Let’s talk kids, kids in rough stages where you feel like the whole session is falling apart. I know this is a struggle that many parents have and feel that they can not have the session they desire because there’s only such much to do with kids who don’t want their picture taken. Listen, I get it! I totally, 100% get it! I have three kids and it’s rough as hell, there is no lie to that. But when It’s all said and done and I look back on my own gallery or a clients gallery, those in between, rough moments are some of my favorite.
This is life you guys. This is the life that our kids live, they all go through it. That doesn’t mean we stop taking pictures and stop documenting our time together. We embrace it. Take it as it is and go with the flow because this will still be a time in your life to treasure. Not to mention, that “stubbornness” is really bringing out so much personality. So let it be, just relax because you’re still going to end up with a gallery of 105 images that you adore!
