What a blast we had at Cantigny Park for Joe and Kaitlyn’s engagement session! I honestly have SO many more photos that I would love to share because their gallery is huge and filled with so much fun and laughter. The fact that I was able to have this much fun with Joe and Kaitlyn the first time I met them, makes me so pumped for their wedding this fall.
When Kaitlyn told me that Joe was the extrovert in their relationship, I was a little surprised. Typically it’s the ladies who have to bring out the side in the guys, not the other way around. But honestly, this makes my job so much easier when the guys are on board and are ready to have fun in front of the camera. And listen, I’m not the kind of photographer who is going to make you hold funky positions and stare awkwardly into my eyes. That’s just not my jam. So that already makes it a little easier for everyone involved, guys and girls.
Kaitlyn said that something she really loved about Joe was how he made her feel so loved and safe while being a complete goofball and so loyal. I saw that. I saw it quickly. Joe told me that over the past 4 years, Kaitlyn has really brought out the best in him with her caring and selfless love. These two are like a match made in heaven, or a match made at a friends wedding. Either one works. But, that blind date they had 4 years ago at their friends wedding has now led them to their own wedding and I couldn’t be happier to capture their love story!
