Chicago! I mean seriously, how can you beat these views?

When Peggy and I were discussing locations for their family maternity session, I brought up the idea of heading downtown to Chicago and shooting at North Avenue Beach. If you know Chicago, you know that a March evening can be very unpredictable, especially on the lake. We knew it was a gamble, but it honestly worked out to be such an amazing night! Of course it was a bit brisk, but it was actually one of the nicest  days we’ve had around here this year. All we had to do was keep thinking about the pizza we were having once we were done shooting, and all of a sudden, the brisk air wasn’t so bad.

Let’s chat a minute about this family. I met the four of them in 2014 when I did their fall family session and since then it’s been like fate pulling us closer and closer. That night when I first met Connor and Ryan, I said “OMG these two are twins of my kids”. I went home and told my husband about them and swore they were our childrens clones. Since that night we have gotten closer and closer and now here we are 5 years later. Living down the street from one another, good friends, our kids our good friends, same schools, same classes, same sports teams, and now we get to raise baby 3 together for another round of besties. Im truly so thankful for having this family in our lives and can not wait to meet that new little babes.
