Originally when I had talked with Amanda, we were just scheduling our consultation to go over their wedding details as I normally do. Usually this is the first time I meet my couples and then we plan for the engagement session from there. A couple of days before our consultation, Amanda had text me asking if we could possibly squeeze in their engagement session since we would be getting a good amount of snow in the Chicago area. I mean how I could I pass it up, I told you before, I LOVE shooting these sessions. So I arranged my schedule and we met for our consultation and then headed to Hudson Crossing in Oswego for their engagement session.
Those intimate photos under the golden sunset …. my FAVE! This is why I always aim to shoot about an hour before sunset because those photos will forever hold a special spot in my heart and I will aim to always get those for my clients. Of course we can’t always get that juicy sun, but even without the sun, those images still tend to be my favorite. I love capturing the connection between my clients and this is the best way I feel i can capture that. I have couples that tell me all the time “we’re not lovey dovey” or “wer’e never this close”. I totally understand this, I get it. But allow yourselfs to get close and lose that mindset, even if just for the short time during your session because these shots are golden and everyone needs them with their significant other.
By the way, If your’e in the Chicagoland area and looking for an esthetician, Amanda is your girl! Look at her makeup in these photos, it is seriously flawless! Click here for her Instagram page.
